agressive form of prostate cancer. It has been determined that it has moved into his lymph nodes. From my understanding, this is pretty much a death sentence. Does anyone know how long he might have? Where could I find more information on this kind of diagnosis?

Had a radical with removal of seminal vesicles and 48 radiation treatments. PSA has gone from .03 to 4.6 in last year.Curious to know prognosis( the truth will do nicely–I’ve already heard all the “every man is different”, “there’s no way to tell” stuff). I have decisions to make. Thanks.

We’ve been dating for little more than three years, and I’m on a somewhat familiar basis with her family. The doctors don’t know in what stage the cancer is and he’ll be going through testing throughout the month. She’s pretty broken up about it, but I’m not particularly sure how to go about comforting her.

My father was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He is in the early stages of it. I don’t know exactly what phase or much about it for that matter. Nonetheless I am worried and scared and so is my mother. He has two options to remove it either chemo or surgery. Does anyone know which option might be better and does anyone have experiences where someone in their life had this and was fine afterward?

He had a blood test that showed a PSA level of 87!! The MRI showed the cancer is in the surrounding Lymph tissue but the bone scan was clear. He has been given hormone treatment and told surgery is not possible and has an appt to see radiotherapy dept. Has anyone got any experience of this especially with such a high PSA result?
